Vulcano Design presents our ‘STONE FLUTE’ collection available in Carrara C, Tempesta Verdi and SuperWhite quartzite from Brazil. The surfaces are honed giving them an evenness where shadows enhance the 3D form.
Flutes in Architecture first appeared in Ancient Egypt & Greece where they showed to be an elegant element creating simple repetition with light and shade.
The stone flute series are individual pieces of solid stone machined to fit together. While the surface is curved there is a 10mm wide flat strip along each edge. They are designed not to require grouting.
SUPERWHITE HONED FLUTE: 30 WIDE X 20 THICK X 600 MM LONG. WITH REINFORCEMENT, 55.6 PIECES/M2, 15 PIECES OR O.27M2 PER BOX.
Our selection of carved individual stone Flutes are 600 x 30 x 20mm and 920 x 30 x 20mm and are ideal for the vertical surfaces around straight or curved counters and Island benches.
